It is 4:15 in the morning, and I was aroused by strange dreams. They were dark and morbid and included aliens, crocodiles, and mean dogs. Everything was sighing like a devilish wind. Once I woke up, I realized that I was hearing the wind gusts outside. The typhoon is beginning to intensify, but I still have power and phone. Im still on the outer edge, but the eye is headed straight for me. As you can see in the picture, the eye is much bigger and the body has thickened. Ive had trouble getting news about its severity, but Ive done some conversions of knots and k.p.h, and the typhoon gusts will be 135 knots per hour. Three things come to mind: 1) Americans need to convert to the metric system; 2) I cant understand what the heck they are saying on the news; 3) I wouldnt have a clue what was going on if it werent for the internet. At least, the geography of where Im at isnt like New Orleans. I am above sea level, and there arent rivers feeding into the sea. Now, it is just a waiting game, and Im just trying to keep a sense of humor about the whole thing. Im going to try to sleep and figure out what those aliens, crocodiles, and mean dogs wanted.
