The usual sunset here in Minamiosumi-cho. Posted by Picasa

This is my adult English class at the community center. Posted by Picasa

The night ended with a couple of cocktails and Emma reading us our fortunes. My taro said that I'm ego centric and act like a child. I can see that! Posted by Picasa

This is the main group that stayed at the cabin. I was preparing the chicken, but I was becoming very frustrated because air wasn't getting to the coals, which kept going out. We spent the evening huffing and puffing, trying to keep the coals going.

As the sun is setting, we are out on the deck preparing for a barbeque, enjoying the day as it begins to cool, and taking in the view. Posted by Picasa

This is my Japanese friend Misao (sounds like: ME-SOW). In the background, the windmills are visible. They look like giant pinwheels spinning in silence.

They stayed in these spacious and cozy cabins above Minamiosumi-cho. I didn't even know that this place existed. The weekend was great because I discovered many hidden treasures around my area. Posted by Picasa

The first place we went to snorkle, which was recomended by the diving instructor, was too rough. We figured that this sign was saying something like, "Beware! Waves eat small children. Don't swim here!" We packed up and went to another beach protected by a cove. There was a typhoon passing south of us, so the waves and current were more powerful than usual. The water was pretty murky, but I still managed to see a few fish. Posted by Picasa

Last weekend four JETs came down to do their scuba diving license and to snorkle. It turned out to be a relaxing and fun weekend. They are from Canada, U.K., and New Zeland. That beach in the background was covered in a lot of shells. I also found a pair of dentures! Posted by Picasa
