We are sitting, drinking beer, talking, and waiting for our food. One thing that is different about Japanese schools and American schools is alcohol is allowed on campus. Drinking is a big part of the local culture. I've noticed a lot of empty beer cans in the teacher's recycling. The locals are very laid back and remind me of Hawaii's locals. The landscape is similar also.
