Here we are at the end of the lesson. No, I'm not filling their minds with my political beliefs and telling them to put up their peace signs. It seems to be the automatic response to a camera. I've heard a million different reason why it happens, but I'm really not sure why. I've started teaching early for a JET. Most people are sitting in their offices studying Japanese. I'm happy to teach though because I feel very comfortable in the classroom. My supervisors came to watch, and I think they were satisfied with my performance. The class may have been a little test to see if I can handle the children and actually teach. I might have 3-4 classes a week on my own this September. Many JETs aren't aloud to teach alone, so I'm lucky. I'd die of boredom if I couldn't have a little control.Posted by Picasa
